HARDWARE

The hardware design caters to the demands for safety, compatibility, ruggedness and reliability influencing the selection, installation and use of oilfield equipment.

Enclosed from the elements within the chart recorder, a battery pack is placed in the recorder case and a screwdriver is used to fasten the circuit board chart backing plate and pen assemblies.

SOFTWARE

The OnBoard and EasyChart software programs complete the system operation by providing a user interface to configure the hardware and access the digital well flow measurement information .

The Onboard© setup utility prepares the METERdat circuit boards with the field measurement point parameters. A serial cable is connected to the METERdat boards while running OnBoard

The image on the left displays the fields that are are setup on the hardware to configure it for use.

The EasyChart© program is used to read the memory modules, process and access the METER data.. The software presents the data on the screen and printed graphically, tabular, and summarized. Daily averages, flowing hours, and integrator values are calculated for convenient input for volume calculations EasyChart saves the METERdat files in a dense native hex format, and creates ASCII files of the summaries and tables to feed downstream software applications for further processing and analysis.
