The following section is a pictoral overview of how the hardware fits inside the recorder. An experienced chart recorder technicain following the installation instructions is recommended for actual field upgrades. Some recorder cases may also require a bracket set to convert spring clip style chart plate plate retainers to the threaded style.
| STEP 1: Remove the chart recorder pen arms from the pen-mounts by loosening the screws and sliding the pen arms down and off. |

| STEP 2: Undo the 4 chart plate screws, and remove the plate. |

| STEP 3: Place the METERdat battery pack on the bottom ledge of the recorder case, and position the METERdat board over the plate retaining posts. |

| STEP 4: Fasten the METERdat board using the 4 retaining screws. |
|
| STEP 5: Install the new METERdat pen assemblies. |
|
| STEP 6: Connect the METERdat pen assemblies to the board with the 2 pin header connectors at the top left of the board next to the memory module socket. |
